Port-a-walls?
« on: February 01, 2006, 09:24:50 PM »
Any ideas where I can find a set of 15 inch port-a-walls locally? And any hints on how to install them?

didnt you already post this? I did some reading and it says they dont work well on radials, that they are designed for bias ply, but check with Geoff or Jim I think they said previously they could get them.

Pretty sure I didn't post this before. Maybe I'm smoking crack. Anyways think there are any adverse affects or that it just might not work as well? I'm sure a bunch of other people have done it before me..

everything I have ever read says that they tend to stick out from the sidewalls, but someone around here has some....

maybe they would be better to answer this.

I read that but that was on Temporary size tires. I actually run decent size rubber on my machine:P

They work fine on Radials, depending on the sidewall size. The ones you want (best) are the Atlas brand. They have been hard to find the last few years. There are some other brands at the new KMS autoparts store next to KMS in Coquitlam.

do i have to spell it out for you?

you said you didnt, i called you out and proved it by posting a link.

besides, if everyone here started double posting just because their first post got no response, this forum would be a mess.

point being...if you make a mess...remember where you leave it so you can clean it up.
