Looks Sharp James,

I remember when you first got that car and you were putting in the Tranny at Hans' place.

Hows the clearance with the front tires?

i rub a little on the edge of the fender on the passenger side. i will either raise it a  bit, or roll the edge of the fender out a bit.  i still have a couple days to work out all the little kinks, before aircare and insurance.
thanks to james buchan for narrowing the beam!

i got the rims from airspeed. they are 17x7's with 205/40's, james1 to narrowed the beam 3\"
the bolt pattern is a 5x100. need to roll out my fenders a bit. but other than that, they fit great.

What a look!!
So I guess you have a slight boy-build (like Geoff) and don't have any speed bumps or pot holes in your part of town...

I hope it works for you James, it looks 'BAD_ASS'

Have fun

just some quick questions

what offset are those wheels?

and do you just have the narrowed beam?

or drop spindals as well?
i noticed the disc breaks did they push the wheels out?
whats the total height of the tires because i wanna go with 18's on my bug but i wanna know if they will fit if i keep 7.5 width,

yeah i work at a tire shop, i get discounts :) for myself

20's SORTA FIT!!

the wheels are a 40mm offset, 7inches wide 5.5\" back spacing and 1.5\" front spacing.
i have the 3\" narrowed beam, 2.5\" dropped spindles, and went the extra mile the airspeed 3\" narrowed sway bar.
i have been told the discs might push out the wheels a bit, but nothing substantial
i am running 205-40-17's with a total height on 23\". you would be able to run 18's with low pros no problem i think, the only thing is you might not be able to go as low as me. that would be my only thought.

thanks for the information ...
were you disc rotors blank when you got them?
and who drilled them for you? how much did it cost?

the discs were 4x130.
airspeed was able to get a machinist to drill in the new 5x100 pattern.
they know his name, and what he charges. ball park was $150.

i am sure i will do airbags on one of my cars eventually. but i want to keep this \"non
adjustable.\" i am contemplating raising the bulk head.. i want the front end to sit lower, but i cant use my adjusters anymore, i am all the way down, also that would make it illegal, and what not.
