I don't know any thing about this company but I personally would not recomend buying an 1835 or anything with a 92mm P&C kit. Go 1775 or 1914 (90.5 or 94's)

I haven't heard about it either.  I'm sure you could have a motor built also instead of buying turnkey or a long block.

Call up airspeed and see who they would recommend to build your engine (Darren maybe?).

All I know is that if you drive your car like a race car, it will last like a race car.  Just about anything can be babied and made to last a long time.  The only problem, the bigger the \"baby\" the harder you will want to spank 'er...

what are the specs on that motor? remember, it might be that $$ in conversion, but shipping won't be nice :(

what do you want to do with the car? highway? cruise? race? What is your budget?

you need to figure out a plan for the car, and then people can suggest motor combos if you know what you want.

I'd suggest this:

1914 cc
CW 69 mm crank
94mm P&C's
engle 110 cam
balanced rods
DP heads lightly ported (maybe some 041's, or 044's - 40x35.5)
dual 40 mm kadrons or 40mm IDF's or Dellortos
header with a single/dual quiet pack
009 distributer with petronix
stock fuel pump

Very reliable, real nice power, and fun to drive.

it has to get me to work and back 6 days a week(10km each way) for a couple months while the weather is nice....and than also a weekend warrior i guess...i dont want it to be a drag only car but i most likely will run it. I dont really have a budget because ill just save as long as i need till i get what i want. I always plan on going to airspeed to talk to someone but i always work the same hours as them!!!! they should open up on sundays!

haha...:P

yah, that combo would be reliable.

Shane had a 65 beetle in it with a 1776 and dual kadrons and he ran 15.XX in the 1.4 mile...what was the time again shane?

anyways, for what the motor was, it was an impressive time!

I have a 2275 cc that I am selling.

$4000 turnkey, and $3000 without carbs.
