Looking for someone to tune my carb!
« on: July 13, 2010, 06:53:55 PM »
Hi there,

I have a 1200cc motor with a h30/31 brosal carb and vacuum adv dizzy and I am getting a flat spot underload out of first.

I really don't have the knowledge to fine tune everything to get it running 100% and I need the carb pros on here to help me out. I'll pay who ever comes out and gets rid of the flatspot - cash or beer if they are thirsty.  :D

I am located in Burnaby - Please PM me if you think you can help.

Thanks.

could be timing. also, check your valves. you would be amazed at the difference that makes. and lastly, set your points with a dweel meter to 50 degrees, makes a world of difference versus feeler guaging them.
the customer is always wrong

Actually Bruce has come a few times to try and get er running, but it has been a bit challenging. According to him the dizzy shaft might be a tooth out - which makes it harder to time. And right now it is running really rich which is causing a major flat spot and back firing in the carb.

PS: egspot, I think I spotted you yesterday on HWY 1 - if that was you, looked good man!
