Its called an Air Hammer. What are you doing them on? Do you care much about the paint? If you do be sure to mask it off and place the door on cardboard....
If more power is better. Then too much is just enough.
Why do it once when you can do it thrice?

Bring em out Chris....I'll give you a hand to get those out. Soak em in wd40 or liquid wrench first.

skip the wd-40...it wont do much as a penetrating fluid...it's main use is for water-displacement (wd).

like gerry said...try liquid wrench...or pb blaster or rost off (wurth product). a little heat might help too (carefull not to burn that sweet og mango paint) and a couple sharp and quick "shocks" from a punch & hammer might help "free" it up.

pretty sure that the tool chris is talking about is the one in the link below. last i heard steve w. (beetleman here on the asf) might have one for rent/barter/borrow...? it's something i'll need to use pretty soon to for the pins on the 64!

Yes, I was looking at that tool this morning. $180 is a lot though for how often I would use it personally. If no-one around here has one would a group of us want to go in on one. I would be happy to put in $50 if there were four of us OK with sharing it. We could rent it out to recoup some of the cost too.

Doors came from 58binz (Ross mullen) I was just going to look at stationary side window glass, and those were the doors they happened to be in 8)

The tool that Joey makes/sells is the cats ass! I borrowed one from a friend and I had the pins out of my the oval doors in under 10mins! Well worth every penny.

Chris,

I have that tool available to rent/barter/borrow.

I haven't used it on a bus but I was told it works just slick.  Beetle doors are no problem.

If you're coming through Abby anytime in the near future I can leave it at AVR for you. You can PM me for the particulars.

Rob

You are all aware that bus cargo door hinge pins are a smaller diameter than beetle or bus front doors and that they are split pins, right?
