noise from engine

So after the trip to Seymour park I have detected a noise which I believe is a exhaust leak. I cheked the valves and they are where they should be .006. i would like a second opinion on the noise.

If it is the exhaust I have another that i need to intall a sensor on before I use it.

Anyone available to listen to this?

Cover the exhaust pipe and see if the engine dies, that will tell you if its a big exhaust leak.

Tried it and got it around 4k rpms did not shut down.

It should die at idle with your hand or foot over the pipe. Sounds like a exhaust leak.

available ? every morning you drive by and wake my kids .yes its your exhaust , please fix it or get a new route .if you need something welded on a new pipe i will be happy to do it.

I went under and realized the bolt comming out of the top right head #1 exhaust to the heater is twice as long as the bottom one and a bitch to poke at it. I either need a special wrench or there is a special way to get to it because i have not been able to move it yet.

Would this make the engine sound like a 22 machine gun at 3000 rpms?

Fixed that.

I was wrong:\I went downstairs at 10:00 am  and worked until 5:00. I could not get to the stud and ended up taking the heaters off. got one of the metal plates off and bent the other. I installed the merger and  was trying to get it going for Wednesday. Developed a small oil leak under the tubes and when I started it the noise remains so my whole theory was blown away.

I am thinking a streched valve or a burned one on the #1 exhaust. The stud was loose and I think that would contributed.


There was no metal particles when I changed the oil for the second to in the last 1500 miles/ 4 months.
