i dig a look reminicent of the cal-look. i know everyones opinion on true cal-look differs (one peice windows, no trim, raked stance, brm's, big motor, etc..) but i'm going to build my car the way i prefer. the car will look the way it did when it came from the factory (og paint colour, full chrome trim, bumpers w/ over-riders, vent windows, etc). but with a lowered front, stock rear height. nicely narrowed beam so the wheels tuck just right (not the motor home-look), larger dissplacement engine w/ some old school speed parts and dual carbs for some get-up and polished and painted fuchs (hopefully early 4.5 & deep 6's). a trick, custom interior will complete the package. i also know that people will look at my car and say played this same that, but i'm building it for me, not them.
i'm also digging the patina-ed look. (see brad pursers car). the surface rusted minor ding lowered and powered to go beetle. a car that looks like it was pulled out of a barn after sitting for 10-20 years and has been toyed with in the performance department, but not the looks department. eric justus' flat black t34 really gets me going to. that car smokes. killer look and some serious balls to destroy everything in it's path.
