Good to hear you guys are as interested as Warwick and I!
The route is definitely going to be secret, but in the interest of being open to everyone we are working to keep the route paved. It's hard, both Warwick and I are ice/gravel rally guys, so we've had to eliminate some awesome roads...but then, we also want this event to have a diverse group of cars. We thing the best way to do that, at least for now, is to keep the roads paved. We are heading out to green-crew the route in a couple of weekends, so any gravel will be clearly listed before entry opens.
We're likely to do sticker-type decals, but you do bring up a good point. Perhaps we'll offer a choice between Magnetic or sticky when you register.
I can teach you a really good trick with stick on decals though...if you first apply it to your buddies t-shirt, and then to the car. They will hold for a weekend but peel off easy without damaging the paint. (90% of the sticky is covered by lint, the rest used to stick to the car). We do that to keep the paint attached to rally cars, which are usually poorly painted.
Posters and Postcards are being printed...so if you want to PM me some locations or an address to send them to, that would be great!
