Hi Bruce!, Nah, he was too far ahead of us, must have vaporizied. We did pass Evil on the grapevine, went up at 65 to 70 in 4th, and down at 80 to 85. We had to stop for gas at Gorman though, and they passed us up. We had the only stock (9 1/2 gallon) fuel tank. We caught them again at the first toll booth in Tijuana, and then it was back and forth all the way (75 miles) to Ensenada. It wasn't about who had the most HP or who was the best driver at that point. It was about who was willing to chance speeding in Mexico at 2:00 in the morning, with posted speed limits of 60 kilometers per hour. We were both doing 60 to 70 mph and pulled into the Bahia hotel at the same time. Nick had arrived so far ahead of us, that he was already asleep! I expect you to give him a run for his money next year! I hope Jim and Lorena plan next years Beetleball24 to start after the great Canadian. I saw the pics you guys took of the event and I don't want to miss it. Juan
