All my friends said the same thing!  We are hoping to put in back to back 1000km days so I vetoed the bus option.  I will miss the bus when I am down there though.

If I can do 940 miles in one day solo in a Beetle, you TWO can share 650 miles in a Bus.

We just got back from Nicks. I can't believe it..I won the DKP club pick! I almost passed out. I did a shoot with Stephan Szantai in Palos Verdes Estates yesterday, then a shoot with Dean Kirsten just outside of Palm Springs this morning. It would be a major understatement to say I'm pretty happy.

fuckin rights lanny....way to go man.

i knew that you were going to get more mag coverage with that car...i even said so in my last pm that you & the car would be well recieved...i just chose my words carefully so the 'ole bancroft curse wouldnt happen.

so you are now the only local (that i know of) that has had the same car featured in the same mag in 2 different configurations.

congrats man....you deserve it after all that hard work and dedication to the project. B)

In my typical fashion, we head out to Irvine this morning at 5:00 AM..no go. The fuel pump packs it in on the Safari. OK, unload the car and drive the 1 hour plus to Irvine. About 35 minutes later..clack a clack a...Say good bye to a Scat valve adjuster, right in half(according to Scat, they have had these fail before). Argh! 3 1/2 hours later thanks to Rob and K-Roc, a new adjuster is installed on the busy San Diego freeway. I finally make it to the show at 9:45 to find a lack of show spots. The DKP were gracious enough to offer me a spot in the DKP row..cool. Unfortunately, the DKP row isn't judged, oh well, no trophy. We finally saw the 'Rolling Blackout' 67 on display, wow! Rumour has it there's over $300,000 US in it so far..ouch! Another terrific show, great friends. Now to fix the fuel pump...

Congrats Lanny, your car looks awsome. If it wasn't for a certain mouse grey car last year B.C. cars would probably have taken that prize two years in a row. Nice work.
