3+\" of gravel flying on the coq.. and my front door seals leak. (it sat for periods throughout transport)
 
We drove up only 2 weeks before and the car we drove took a pounding of rain and gravel.

I agree with Hulk's Mistress a complaint with the BBB is in order. Cargo insurance will pay or the company (if it's not a fly by night company) will pay themselfs !!It  sucks for trucking companies to make claims  (ie:rates get increased or coverage gets dropped) Make them pay for there mistake my company would!!

Water won't hurt much if its less than 2 weeks in the weather and you have a place to dry it out when it arives.

 A dc sitting on a flat deck is better protected on it's own than  a secure tarp .  The tarp will cause damage even if it is done right. You might aswell wrapped it in sand paper or shot it with a salt gun.

The mild tarp rubs have been buffed out.. it was the fact that the tarp came loose, had rolled into balls and the bungees had struck the cab.
The shipping company was given SPECIFIC instructions to watch the tarping.. and to remove or phone me ASAP if there was any concern.
