Hi,does anyone know what years volkswagon came out with the ragtop? what year did it start and what year did it end? thanks so much

If you are refering to the large plastic/rubber sliding roofs. They ended in 1963 (Herbies model). In 1964 they started with the much smaller metal sliding roof. Someone else will have to tell you when they started.

Apr 1950 start
The last folding sunroof sold here was in 63.  In Europe it was still available until 67.

Is this rubber sliding roof the one you are refering to?

stock sliding ragtops are vinyl or canvas.

yours isnt stock.

it looks to be an aftermarket street-beat style that has been welded in.

Ok thanks,i have another question,is it normal for the electric fuel pump to make clicking noises when you are starting the car? thanks again
