Meeting Random People With Beetle Stories!

When I was driving my 1967 beetle, I had a ton of people come up to me at gas stations, or where ever I would park and tell me stories about their experiences with beetles.  Sometimes I would even get a thumbs up from someone in a car sitting beside me or driving past me.  I love hearing about people and their stories, but sometimes they can go on and on :lol:

anyone out there with a good story?  in highschool teachers would comment that they used to drive beetles and that they were the best cars they've ever had!  sorta neat.

I was getting gas one day, when an older guy came up to my bug and started telling me about all the bugs he, and his friends would destroy on dirt roads and stuff, anyway when he was finished he started pounding on my roof with his fist saying\" you cant kill it with a hammer, I was horrified, and gave him some nasty glares and walked to the side he was on, and kindof moved him away, so then the friggen guy goes to the back and starts yanking on my stinger, just haulinging on it back and fourt and at the same time giveing me abuse about how it looked shitty, and asking :what the hell is this thing......\" oh man I could have killed the bastard, anyway I just got in my bug and drove away. I should have flattened the guy.......Idiots! :wacko: Thats just one story, I've got a million of em.
 Too bad i cant tell them very well.

I had a similiar thing happen to me when I was into lowered trucks (ya I know WTF) 'cept I leveled the guy.

Maybe we have some happy stories? But we could always rename this to stories about meeting damn bastards!

many ,many years ago my girlfriend sherri ,later on too become my bride .were driving home from a party . she was driving as i had a few too many.well it wasn't long before we got pulled over.i don't think sherri could master that roller pedal and stroker motor.i was busy trying too look sober and sherri was trying to look serious ,when the police officer got out of his car and decided too first do a walk around the car before coming too the drivers window.well down he went as he triped over my stinger.sherri couldn't contain herself and started to giggle out of control.i was yelling at her too shut-up ,but she couldn't.when sherri rolled down the drivers window and the cop stuck his head in .before he could say a word ,sherri asked him if the reason he stopped us was too sell us a ticket too the policemens ball !! . he replied, policemen don't have balls !! .well ,sherri broke out laughing and that's when i figured he just realized what he said.he turned walked away and got in his car and drove away.

whats even more fun now is looking back and remembering all the good/bad things that happen in a bug. great times ! well most of them anyway.
