3 Weeks Till The Great Canadian!
« on: July 31, 2006, 11:40:42 AM »
Were now down to less than 3 weeks before the start of the Great Canadian Weekend, Will your car be there? Be sure to pre register Sat morning at Airspeed during the Pancake breakfast. This will get you in past the long LONG line up and right into your class/spot.

Were expecting more cars than ever this year so be sure to come early and enjoy the entire day!

We have many new sponsors this year and a ton of great prizes!

There is a new addition to the park this year. They have added a number of Volleyball courts beside the swap/waterpark. All are on sand so be sure to bring a ball and enjoy the park.

So let's hear who will have their cars at this years event (Sunday)

Please forward the show info to any and all VW friends who may want to come out and see the show.

Thanks.
Geoff.

I was thinking of maybe bringing out my 67 .Drove it to the Java Hut last Fri. It was kind of fun ;) Thanks to Dale's Alignment for gettin er done ! It drives a lot more straight now( especially after I put the steering wheel on the right way)I can barely sleep thinking about all the little details to finish up .I'm sure most of you can relate!

Gotta get the swing lever kit installed in my 67 bus, then put it thru the Provincial MVI. Should be able to get it done in time. Otherwise it'll be the 66 beetle. Either way I'll be there.

I wish my 65 Beetle would be ready to debut!
Unfortunately, it won't be done!
Everything is running along well, as Terry H. has rebuilt my engine and transmission!
Russ, has done an excellent job of powdercoating and hi-temperature coatings for stuff!
I will be getting Mr. Snapper to do the interior install, once the car gets back from Body & Paint.

I will  be starting to put the front end together and begin assembly of the pan.
Thanks to Geoff for giving me advice on this!
Shawn

PS. Geoff, I hope you liked the pics of the Classic!

Yes if you wish to park beside a friend we can work with you. Although we would rather have the cars in their classes.

once again be at the Best Western Coquitlam, They are holding 20 rooms for the GCVWS guests.
There is a special rate of $109 a room, when you call in you must say it is for the group rate for the VW show. These rooms are on a first come first serve basis. They would like to have everyone book 60 days before the event.
If you have any trouble reserving a room you can ask for Tim the Manager.

If all the rooms go quick I may be able to get a few more but the sooner you book the better.

Best Western Coquitlam Inn Convention Centre
(604) 931-9011
319 North Road
Coquitlam, BC

When I called the person on the phone made it sound like the rooms were almost gone, and that was Sunday.

G-Dog...it's Darryl from Dale's Alignment.  Your alignment turned out wicked.  Love when things go so smoothly and there's nothing bent, loose or seized in the front end.  Should have seen the super swweeett 67 Bug I aligned here last week from Airspeed.  2275cc and did it sound good!  Very nice ground up.  Later

I'm hoping Jack Sacette gets my case back to me so the split will quit eating the #1 bearing, as it was never designed to be cut in half. Worst case is I drive the notch up again.
