came home last night to Erin pissed that she was rearended.
seems a ford explored hammered her pretty good.i'll load pics if i get a chance later.
she is a little sore but not too bad.the explorer took out the bumper and the fiberglass \"W\" decklid.it hit high enough that it pretty much just hit the alternator pulley pushing it through the decklid.the damage is not too bad and the important thing is she is ok.she said she saw it comming as the girl was yapping to her friend and not paying attention so she braced for the impact.
which i think is why she is sore, beats being hammered into the steering wheel.

That sucks!  Doesn't look too bad tho....from the side pic the bumper looks like it might be a little tweeked?
Main thing is nobody was seriously hurt!

Glad to hear your OK Erin. Looks like it can be fixed fairly easy, if we can help in anyway just ask.

Geoff.

Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me, but deep down I know that's not true. Some smaller countries are neutral.

glad she isnt hurt and the damage doesnt look to bad. how are you going to deal with getting it fixed, get money and do it yourself or find a body shop?

Damn!
That sucks however mine appeared worse. I bet you will have no problems with ICBC since the rest of the car is in such fine shape. Russ if you want any tips on how to deal with them just Pmail me and I'm more then willing to talk or get you in touch with Nigel Matthews

 :D  LOL
that made me smile shane.
ICBC has been really good about it so far,and has pretty much left it up to the descretion of the bodyshop (Stephane Feeg)

Thanks for your well wishes everyone!! I am sore, but will be fine in a few days I hope.

As for the shitkicking  of my new white trash friend in the explorer Shane, I would have happily done just that but I was too busy checking her child for injuries. Yeah, HER kid, in the Explorer with no seatbelt on!!!!!!! ]:( He kept saying he hit his head and she kept telling him to shut up and get in the truck! I actually ran my hand over his head to check him out because she seemed uninterested.I didn't feel any extraordinary lumps (do all you guys come with lumpy heads?? )

Thank God for a very nice guy in a new Mercedes convertaible that stopped to help me push my Sunni out of the traffic to be sure I didn't get hit again. He helped me get the bumper off the decklid so we could stop the gas leak, and then she just fired right up!!!  Man I love my car!

I asked him if he was a \"VW guy\" and he said nope, just don't like to see you like this in this neighbourhood. And here I though you guys were the only heros around ;)  Who woulda thunk, a Mercedes guy B)
Anyways, the guys at Feegs are gonna get some parts together for me. Might be searching here on the forum for odds and ends. As always, you guys are the best resource around!
Thanks again!

Erin
