bruce is right it is all in the set up.
so many seam to think there is some magic needed to get through aircare
but there is no magic needed .all you need is 3 things
-mechanically sound motor
-correctly set up ignition system
-carburation balanced and jetted
that is it .no magic.
if you fail it's because one of the three items are in need of some work.as well ,at times the aircare test can be a good judge of your engines state of tune .and may be a big help in getting your car set-up correctly.
also i don't know of too many people who race there car at idle or under 3000 rpm so your jetting need not be any differant for street and race use.
i'm running the exact jetting i ran at aircare the only differance is when i switch fuel at the track i do run my idle mixture richer which is done just for a cooling aid ,this is done by adjusting the mixture screws and not the jets.
sorry i lied there is a bit of magic you could buy.
go to airspeed and get a LM1 and take the guesswork out of tuning.
after all you spent how much on your car/motor etc .why not milk every bit of performance out of it .
way to go cameron!!!. those 86c cams are sure aircare friendly
