Here's the sequence of events.
Leave Vancouver on tuesday morning. RR 24\" tire blow out in Seattle. Police escort off highway. New 24\" tire. Off to Portland, new tire goes flat in downtown Portland. Install spare. Drop off wife and child. OK. Off to LA. Southern Oregon, the first diff cooks. Overnight at the local motel. Tow the truck AND the trailer to the dealership in Roseburg. Rent the infamous F 450 farm vehicle to finish the treck. No problem. 1700 miles at 60 MPH. Vinyl seat and a radio. OK. After the Classic week..very busy, back up to Roseburg to pick up the Dodge. Rebuilt diff under warranty, return the F450. OK. 150 miles later, rebuilt diff packs it in just south of Portland. Colorful tow truck driver hauls Dodge to the Wilsonville dealership. Back to the rest stop to pick up the trailer, now 2 AM. 1.5 hours to hook it up all Macgyver like. Two days in Portland waiting for the truck to be repaired again. This time a brand new diff. Great. 70 miles later, poof goes the new diff. Now, wife and child in tow, stuck in Centralia, Washington with very few options. Four hours later we hear the roar of two F350's..Pointblank to the rescue! Off to the border, boy were the border officers confused. Finally home at 2 AM this morning. Thanks again Shane.
