Hey guys and Gals,
Once again there are way too many events for this incredible weekend to possible get to them all. Thursday was a tour day, Ron Loomis, and a couple other Hotrod shops. Then there was the drags.... we missed that for the Dinner on Newport beach.... I was gonna race and then found out how the track is very tight and small......
Friday morning we went to Veedub Unlimited Bar B q, then we hit hit the Chip Foose open house, after that we spent the afternoon at Huntington beach..very nice there. From there we were invited to RK's House (Hot VW's) for a hawiian feast,(Thanks DD) From RK's we went down to Nicks Burgers. Tons of very sweet rides... Darrens car was a huge hit as was Geoffs... Mine becam a hit after I left...Ha Ha Little thunder.
So from there we took the cars back to the Hotels and then a huge group of us ASF members hit Mutt Lynches for the fishbowl beers... My god those are huge... Hit a couple more bars on Newport and a few of us called it a night and a few more partied till morning...
Saturday there was too much to do, Lanny and myself had our cars booked into VW Paradise for the Dyno days...
Darrens car came 1st in NA @ 173 hp
My car came 1st in Turbo @ 231hp with 12pounds boost...Too many cars to up my boost and try again..
There was also the Soto show and the Doughnut cars show and also the toy show... After that we headed up to the Clyde Berg cruise which ended at Knolwoods which have teh most amazing burgers... we now called it a night and left the other guys to party as we have to be at the Classic for 6am tomorrow. Weather has been most amazing...
