Alternative Therapes

Since I have been on the forum there has been alot of sad personal stories from cancer to road accidents, my mum in law is a homeopath and treats all ailments from colds to major trauma, asthma,  I wandered if these alternative therapes were available.
I was very sceptical at first but having had first hand expirience of seeing my kids treated and my wife and I also. It's not a wonder drug but it can work!!!
I think sometimes there always needs to be hope, it's not everyones cup of tea but I just thought better to share it with you guys than not.

Just my two cents.

I have tried some of the homeopathic remedies for arthritis and colds, sore muscles and such. Some of them work and some don't. The one thing that you need to watch if you do find something that works is you can \"proof\" on the ingredients. Which means your body gets all it can handle and it stops working unless you stop using it for a period of time. This is something that can happen with any herb or drug. that's why drug addicts constantly need more to get their fix. If you find something that works don't use it more than a month or two and then give your body a break for a couple of weeks break.

Funny you should post this thread, I had made a long post on the Mangosteen fruit in reply to Jason's friend, then deleted it all since it was off topic and some people don't want to hear about natural remedies, or multi level marketing schemes..

I copied this off the web.

The mangosteen fruit has the highest concentration of Xanthones.  There are over 200 xanthones in nature. Each xanthone can have specific effects on the body. What's remarkable about the mangosteen is that there are over 40 xanthones identified in the pericarp, or rind, making it the single most xanthone-rich source in the world

I have some dear friends who have a practice in homeopathic alternative therapy. They are a couple, Husband and Wife. He came here from the UK. As far as I know the have a practice in Metrotown, Burnaby and another one in White Rock BC. If you are interested in finding a source of such information, I would be happy to find you their phone numbers.
