Yup I went off the deep and and did something I swore I never would....

I bought a Macbook Pro with 17\" screen, 250GB external HDD and Final Cut Studio - it has Intel Dual Core processing and all the other bells and whistles I could get - it arrives in 7 business days cause it is coming from back east as there are none on the west coast yet

Time to make some videos baby!

Its about time... I bout my 20\" imac intel last month...loving both worlds....... and kicking ass!

i'm picking up a new dual core mac mini sometime soon, gonna be using CS2 on it mostly
gotta wait a few paydays to pay for it though

did you order your book right off of Apple?
did you find the price was about the same as a local place?

Yes bought online - couldn't find one local with what I wanted, basically every extra I could get - - - I got.

Its not a portable...Mr.Jobs. The beauty is that you can run either PC or Mac, really fast....

I got me one too...since the laptop gave out after 5yrs..

always backup...

get the .mac membership, then you can back up to the apple server, among other perks..

and

the warranty.. remember these are the first duo's....

Apparently, these units are real flamethrowers, and the mac tech guys have some bad instructions for remedial work.
