i decided it would be a nice day to take a cruise in the 63 today, so after finding a insurance place that was open on sunday, forgetting to bring a battery, i got her running. cruised out to rustybus' picked up some parts and cruised home, layed the beetle smackdown on a few cars along the way aswell
. im just about at the garage when a guy about a half a block away frantically waves me down. so i pull up and he asks \"is that thing hopped up at all??\" \"err a little i guess\"
well he starts chattering away about his brothers beetle back in the day, made me laugh and cringe at the same time.... get this apparently it was a black beetle with widened flared fenders, hopped up corvair motor with custom rear end, aluminum dash panel with corvair intruments, and aluminum center console with a cb radio. aahhhh takes me right back to 1985!

i love those guys that come up to me with stories about their buddy with the porsche powered bugs.
with so many porsche powered bugs back in the day, what happened to em all :lol:
