Brake Equlizer Needed

first off i am running a Cb performance front disk brake kit and type 3 rear drums.
i am just getting around to start finishing the braking system and have heard of people having to put a pressure equlizer in.
i don't even know if i am calling it the right thing.something that will control how much brake pressure goes to the front or the back.
is this needed with the set-up i'm running or will i be fine with out it

Russ if you are doing that I would really suggest you try and run the widest front tires possible. That way you can maximize the most of your grip.

You don't need a proportioning valve, you don't need residual pressure valves, or any other pressure altering device.
