As for me I dont know what 2332 to use this year  ;)  My AA's are gettin' honed and I'm unbelievably itching to see how she runs this year with my SE's.

Ahhhhhhhhh its still freaking cold and  I got to aircare the 65 before I worry about my engine.

What fuel pump? I like the Carter CRT-P4600HP non serviceable 100gph pump. Or just try a carter rotary pump with those tweddle modified IDA's. That should feed your beast!!!

Hopefully I'll have the car on the road in 1 month or so.

Paul, you shouldn't be hanging your \"extension\" in the wind you may get freezer burn :D  Yes thats stupid cold.

i picked up holley's new red pump. supposedly supports up to 600 hp.should have no problem feedin the ida's !!  all this and whisper quiet too !!?  ( we'll see about that)  i can't wait !!  it was only cold like that for a day or two, usually the deep freeze is about a month,but not this year. the winter is crazy warm.  more like van's weather without all the rain !!

With a dead head regulator the ballpark formula from mallory is HPx0.23 = GPH required. With a return style its  HP X 0.17.

The red pump doesn't flow 138gph. So realistically a 200hp engine only requires 46gph so in otherwords a small little cb/carter self regulated fuel pump is only required for majority of all hotstreet engines.

The red pump doesn't flow 138gph. .
you are correct. the new red pump only flows 125 gph free flow, and 110 gph @ 7 psi. one of the reasons i bought this pump, was that it looked pretty !! :lol:  oh yeah, and something about it not being noisy. ( but we'll see )

the only pump i would recomend is a mallory unit with the return style fuel pressure regulator.fantastic product,quiet and most important reliable and rebuildable if needed.easy rule of thumb if using a return style regulator system , is take the pump say a mallory 110 divide by 1/2 and thats your gallons per hour 55.tested both the mallory 110 and 140 and results were bang on at 55 and 70 gph.those are large volume pumps and for most street/track use carbs only the 90 or even i think there is a 70 would be a great choice.

-getting closer  all oil lines are now in,1 more day under the car and i should be moving into the engine bay

I went with a Holley Black and a Aeromotive return style reg for my application, Aeromotive makes some NICE stuff!

I went with a Aeromotive pump, filter and reg., definately one of if not the best quality out there! If you are ever thinking of going EFI in the future than  do it one time with a return line and save yourself the time and money down the road. Just my 2 cents (bin there done that way to many times)  I have used Mallory, Bary Grant , Holley, Carter, Piranah ect., it all comes down to budget and application and what a lot of people do is buy what they need for the moment only to have to upgrade down the road. If u have any questions on or need a fuel system give us a call. TJ
