My DAD died in hospital last night, I have watched him go down hill over the last five years and now at least he is at peace, he was my hero in many ways, how he went without so many times to give my brother and I simple things that ment the world to us.
He understood the reasons why we wanted to go to Canada and stood by us, and gave us his support, and advice.
He was a lovely man, adored by his wife and family, grandchildren and friends alike and will be missed, but I am glad to to have known him as my father and will take with me the kindness, and love that he has shown me over the years.

I know I dont really know any of you guys but couldnt sleep and had to get this stufff out of my head, hope ya understand.

Sorry to hear about this but cheers to your dad! It is too bad that he will never have the opportunity to come visit you in Canada. But I will have a beer for you and him.

Any parent would be proud to have a statement made like that about them.  He will live on in the lives and hearts of all he touched.  Raise a glass and celebrate his life.  Cheers

You've definately made a great statement about your father who was and is a very important person in your life. I have similar admiration for my dad as he is a straight up guy who i almost lost a few years back to heart problems. My condolences to your family, his spirit will live on through you and your kids

Man, That brought back memory's, My father died in 97. He too was my idol, hero, and friend. To see you write that just make me remeber why there are so many good men on this earth, It was because of thier fathers.. It has been 9 years and I still look to my Dad for advice... He used to tell me he worked to hard for his Grandchildren... That advice is why I work so hard today... for him...
It looks like your father was very proud of you and with a statement like you just wrote.... I think he had no worries leaving this earth because he knew you know all you need to... He has done his part....Godbless,

When one passes on they write the birth date- (dash) and the day they passed. Ironically that dash represents their lives. Your HERO has left leaving his legacy behind. You are part of that dash along with every one he touched in his journey. I can only wish my children will feel likewise when my time comes.

Receive my condolences, and hats of to you both.

Emilio
