Ragtop Kit Or Not?!
« on: January 13, 2006, 03:57:21 PM »
I got my hands on a complete, never installed, Britax Ragtop Kit, Its in good shape, and I have the instructions and templates and parts, my question is whether I should install it in my car or not.

My car is damn straight, and I have issues with cutting up a perfectly good car, but it is a nice looking ragtop.

What are your thoughts? Ragtop or not?

while the britax is supposed to be one of the best kits available. If the roof is good I would have a hard time cutting.
My roof on the other hand, had the center pushed in and has all the wrinkles to show for it. So if you want to get rid of the kit shoot me a PM ;)

If you really desire a ragtop I would do it. Just save what you cut and it can be fixed later. Theres nothing to terribly rare about your car is there?
If more power is better. Then too much is just enough.
Why do it once when you can do it thrice?

if your going to go through the trouble of cutting a hole in your roof, at least put in a actual VW sunroof clip. Those britax rags look like ass, and operate just as bad. They look like a custom job out of the 80's, and we all know what an 80's custom looks like.
