I just watched a bunch of episodes, it was there maraton or something on Speed TV. I personally think these guys are responsible for putting muscle cars out of reach to the majority of people. The prices are crazy but like people say, its worth what ever someone will pay for it !

In terms of the VW's listed, your probably right in that they likely won't get any air time when you consider there going to be up against cars that will draw over $100 k.
Having said that, I'll probably follow up to see what the 53, 63 rag's as well as the 56 vert went for.

I got my bidder form and the list of cars for the 2006 Barret-Jackson in Arizona and there are some nice cars ovals, a split beetle and a 21 window and even a single cab plus the assortment of other beetles. The 70's show 21 sold for $25,500 US.
