I take it you made it to California but are you driving the streets in the green machine?

Sent a few text messages back and forth last night, and they made it there, the engine looks good, should be in today, and they were going to the zoo!

Hey Guys,
We made it, I posted a pic in the members gallery...
We left Friday night and went as far as Seattle. Left Saturday around 9 am, arrived South of Sacramento then left Sunday morning and arrived in San Marcos around 2 pm. Monday morning we met the entire crew at VW Paradise. Had a shop tour, toured the show room etc... They brought in Beer and Pizza for lunch. Jason was not quite ready for me Monday as the shop was booming with Sandrails. New Years everyone goes to Glamis, so he never got working on my car till after hours... We hung out till about 10pm. Today was eventful... motor got hung, everything was plumbed.. and he was ready to start it up and pre prep it for the Dyno when they were gonna put a Turbo Manx on it and the Dyno went down...
They have the part being flown in for 10 am tomorrow. So with that being said, I shoud have it on the Dyno tomorrow. and should be driving it by Thursday....Look out Kleetus...... Hulk is on the road!!! I will video the dyno tomorrow.
If you are ever in San Marcos I highly suggest  you guys check out VW Paradise... Unlike some other shops I was in this summer, They will gladly take you on a tour...except for the \"Top secret\" room..
I was talking with the brothers and thier dad about coming out to Great Canadian, They really wanna run the Drag car at Mission, They have heard alot about our track... So Geoff you need to talk to Mission about letting them race with us that night..... ;)
Not sure when I will get computer again, But I will keep you all posted..

Cheers From Sunny San Diego!!

wow.

shane it sounda like you are having a really great time. i knew that vwparadise was building your motor, but i had no idea that you'd be driving down there to get it installed and dyno-ed.

very cool.

i hope you and your family enjoy your christmas holidays in sunny california.

say hi to the guvernator for me and tell him to quit filling up my voice mail with his goofy messages...

As far as running at the track it shouldn't be a problem, If they want to come i'll make some calls. It would be a record run seeing as it's @ sea level with some of the best air around......besides all the mosquitos.

how cool would it be to see the paradise dragster click off a high 6/low7 at mission...with the possibility of them also running their pb.

maybe they would bring along their other toys (like the devils hotrod) too.

we should start a campaign to get them more interested to come up here. it would be beneficial for all parties involved if the vwparadise crew attended the great canadian weekend.
