why is there no supports for the tranny , seems to me not much holding everything in?

cause thats the way the germans designed it. The tranny has mounts at the front and the motor has mounts te the rear. and the two are connected.

well yes, it has for some time now, although there was that one time when that guy was driving and his tranny just fell out.

Actually , it's probably not to bad. The rear bar itself is a bit weak though. I'm sure it all was designed for quiet and comfort .
