today i finished my pan, and is now ready to mated to the body tomorrow. i thought i would take 2 notches out of the rear end. i think that the person before me took one notch out aswell, leaving me with 3 notches out of the rear now... with the 1\" tranny raise, the axles are level to the ground, also take a look at how the bumstop is touching!
going to toss a mock motor in, and see how it sits. but james might be right, i think i will have to raise it a notch.
what are your thought?

speaking of weighing it down. shane by any chance do you still have that mock motor you put in the hulk last year for GCVWS? i will be looking for a motor to toss in for couple weeks to fit the new exhaust, and raise the engine compartment tin a few inches!

It's only too low when your car doesn't move (ie dragging pan).

Otherwise, you're good to go.

i think it'll look bitchen.

the only way to truly find out if it'll work is to drop the motor & body back on and go driving. a few corners and a good launch will tell you.

Just flip the tie rods! I do it to all my cars!You also need some low pros for the front.Either 125's from Coker tire or the newest tire out these days 175 55 which is the tire used on Smart cars.

My split is totally hammered, it looks great, but the only problem is trying to get a jack underneath it.

What do you guys use? Right now, it's a real pain. I haven't found a SUPER low profile jack to lift it up easily.

first off. havent had a problem with the tie rods hitting before, and if they do! i will either flip them, or nock the gas tank up.
and as for jacking the car up, roll up onto 2x4's or take a 2x4 measure 2 feet. cut 6 of them. measure 6 inches from one site. mark it. then from draw a straight line from corner to corner. cut on the line. nail or screw 3 of them together. you get a nice easy angle to get up on, and a 6 inch flat stopping area on top. works great for me. there is probably something easier to make but these are easy to tote around aswell.

and steiner about the tires. i will be running the rims off my 68 that are 17's. i run the standard 205/40's. i am looking to get a pair of 195/40's though.

You know what I use for my cars to jack them up. A small Canadian Tire jack with the wheels taken off.I had to hammer the jack!
