Hi there!

Geoff caught me lurking again so now I have to introduce myself!

My name is Chris and I have a Volkswagen.

It started out with me buying a super dry, clean, flat black 65 beetle less than 2 months ago. Thanks Tom! I wanted to get one that I wouldn't have to work on and replace anything, just drive. The car has been completely gone over with just about everything already done: 1776 w/ dual Kadrons, deep sump and oil filter, alternator, starter, rebuilt S/A tranny, all brakes replaced (still drums) ect.

So why do I now have a 1975 IRS pan in the Garage? and 4 wheel disc setup to follow? Oh yah gotta get some 16\" fuchs somewhere! CB performance Fuel Injection is also looking like a good thing!

I am more interested in making the car stop and turn well than go fast in a straight line. I'll probably see how it performs next year by running some Autocross events at Boundary Bay or maybe even a Solo 1 at Mission. Yah there is a Road course there too!

In the past, I have been pretty involved in Autocrossing, Hill Climb and Road Racing - driving in the 2003 Molson Indy sedan race being my finest moment. Having the chance to actually race on the track downtown was pretty awesome! It was only in a Dodge Neon but it was fun!

NO JIM  I'm not gonna build a big motor! I'm happy with what I got! I think?! :D

Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me, but deep down I know that's not true. Some smaller countries are neutral.
