« on: October 20, 2005, 11:58:57 AM »
I dont know if you remember but a while back I asked for some ideas for a Canadian food day at work, well it was today, they loved it.
We had pancakes with maple syrup, A salmon and wild rice dish , A pie Made from ham and vegetables which I tried when there in April, and also some roast beef with maple syrup, we had the usual smart ass remarks like got any Moose or Beaver, God that's original!! ,  but on the whole weel recieved and liked, many thanks for the ideas guys.

You must talk of a quiche when you say pie of ham and veggies. As for the roast beef with syrup.... .....I have never had that one. You may have just created a dish my friend.

The pie was made with Ham, carrots , leeks, onions, chicken stock and topped with pastry it was delicous.

The beef with syrup was also yummy and I thought of it by chance, but it went down really well.
