56 Vert Steiners New Ride 61 Vert F.s
« on: October 10, 2005, 04:10:56 PM »
Bought a 56 vert today. So 61 will be up for sale in a few weeks
If anyone is interested in the 61 let me know. I am going to convert it back to 6 volt and throw the 1200 back in. As far as the price goes I will see if anybody is interested first.      First is the 56  .Second is the 61

Wow..
Two great looking cars.
Glad the 1200 is going to a good home...
The stance on that 61 is hot though.
If more power is better. Then too much is just enough.
Why do it once when you can do it thrice?

Well let's see. I have been working on vw for the past 12 years. I do everything myself which saves me a heck of a lot of money. I drive a company car so I am not forking over money for car payments and I have a girlfriend that likes vw's.

What a beautiful car. Although drop spindles and radars would look pretty bad ass. Some people would kill me for doing that. But that's my style. Look at all these old domestics that people cut and chop the roofs. That's ok to do that but it's not ok to simply lower an old vw. The girlfriend likes em stock. But if I built her car I would put adjustable spring plates and an adjustable front end on it for when I take it out.

who gives a s#!t what other people think.

if you pay 20k for a split, you should be able to do whatever you like with it.

the smart move would be to remove the stock 16's, stock beam and stock spindles and put them on the shelf.

narrow and lower a parts k&l beam and buy some drop spindles and then run your radars.

this way, if you ever decide to sell the car, you will have the option of selling as is (custom) or return it to stock with it's og parts. it would all depend on whos got the cash if and when you decide to sell it. some will only pay the big bones for stock. likewise for custom. different strokes for different folks.

and i agree, that is a beautifull split. it's clean, correct and close by. thats why i posted it here for you.

you should snag it.  B)
