Body And Paint Work
« on: October 04, 2005, 07:51:11 AM »
Hi,

New member based in U.K. I have a 67 Splitty camper currently residing in Langley...2 minutes from Willowbrook. I need to find a good quality, reasonablely priced body and paint shop. I took it to a place on 92nd?? Something called heaven?? and they quoted me $18k...Told them I would think about it...LOL..

Anyhoo getting quotes is difficult due to my location, any ideas...Bus runs, though not insured. Rust in usual areas sills, doglegs front floor etc...but it is not a basket case... Drove it from Detroit to Vancouver in Jan 05 along Route 66. Route 66 finishes in Cali then drove 101.

Thanks in advance....

Regards,
Mountieuk

P.S. Knew Geoff P when he was a nipper, grew up with the family

We have a friend who does amazing work. He's bus friendly, and can do any calibre of bodywork. He has a spot right now if you want to get it done. Is yours the camper over at Duayne's shop? Duayne knows Martin and knows what kind of work he does.

I'm a twenty minute drive south of the Peace Arch border crossing. Since you're shopping around I may as well chime in.  Simply called \"Short's Euro Custom\"... Small, professional, very high quality vintage Volkswagen body and paint shop. Located in Bellingham, WA USA. Gosh, you want to see my work? Two of the last buses I painted are now in the UK! Here's a few links of my more recent work- the first two are the buses I speak of. Give a call at the shop during my working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 6! (360) 752-9523.  BTW- the first pic's a 55 Kombi slated for Volksworld mag SOON!
