Today i had to make a trip down to Intermeccanica to pick up some parts and have a look at a few of the cars Henry has been working on.
George Brown was also there visiting from the USA, You may have heard or have seen his name on other forums including the CLF and shop Talks.
George is having Henry build him a beautiful silver/blue speedster with 901 trans,220hp CB motor, 4 wheel disc brakes and much more. Intermechanica builds some of the best cars around including a Kubel kit car.

Here is George with his new pride and Joy.

Here is a few other shots of Mr Browns car in the works.

Above, nice CB disc kit and 901

Here are a few other nice completed cars outside.

And a few in the production line up.

There you have it! If your in the market for a Speedster give Henry a call.

thats pretty neat. i was walking by there one day and saw the kubel in the showroom. they were closed so i didnt get a chance to check it out up close, but it sure looked mighty fine.

it's funny you post this, cause just last night i was reading the article in ultra vw #2 about the chesil speedser. that looks like a wild little \"factory\" in the uk. big brick barn like structure making these beautifully repro-d speedsters. the guy who wrote the article was saying that the handling and comfort factor was, in some cases, better than the original.

after lurking on the clf and reading george and bruce tweddle hash it out, do you think that there will be a meeting of the two. a rumble in the jungle, a no holds barred cage match of wits, a super vs speedster figure 8 competition?

any idea what a car like that goes for?

I look forward to having everything paid for 1 day and being able to dump $$$ into whatever I want.

Geoff or anyone, where in Vancouver is that place? Next time I'm over I'd love to take a look around.

150 E 1st off Main, across from BK.
For my money, I lust for a 550, a la DMan550.

Kevin,

Last time I heard, George's car was approaching the $50K-plus mark.  For a base level Intermeccanica with a 1600cc you're looking at about $26K give-or-take a few thousand.

aloha,
Joel
