What ballpark $Value looking at a 73 van factory slider been punched in the front supposed to run fairly clean some rust starting behind front wheels and rockers but not terrible yet nose would need some sserios work though ,fuel injection gone runing single carb . I know splits noy batwindows body straight other than nose Any Ideas he is going to get back to me with price might flip might part out might fix for wife Curious for your input Thank Martin  :)

You mean sliding door or steel sliding sunroof?  That year was dual carbs from the factory...... is it a camper (westy?)

Maybe $800-$1200     $1200 if it's got the sunroof.

I know of the bus he's talking about.  It's a factory sliding sunroof.   The BIG one.

Marty I'm amazed you finally got ahold of the storage keeper.  What did you do run into him on his way for more beer?

Now now..
I'm trying hard not to become a badge snob. And have been shot down by bmw owners themselves saying that their girlfriends have the nicest bus passes this side of chilliwack.
What I hope can be my final words on this subject.
I bought a car from a good guy. It had rust. So what its a old car and nobody redflagged it. I got money back, and life moves on. Its still a really good car with a cool history. I'm happy and its working out great for me... although plans are coming for it to turbo flare it, mount a airdam and cram in a 2.5 liter megasquirt 6 banger which should be good for about 175hp and be old 5.0 liter poostang fast. I put a lot more work into my bmw then I anticipated early on and have learned a lot.
Trust no one and you learn from your mistakes.
I hold no grudges and still love you guys.. Espiecially the big green guy.

we all know about thesamba.coms inflated prices. it has been talked about many times before. however, there are deals out there. just like anywhere. shit, there are some crazy prices in the local buy&sell & even on this forum. but for someone to make a silly comment about over priced junk after spending alot of $$ on overpriced junk, strikes me as funny.

What's inside? Seats? Camper goodies? Got a pic? Im thinking you could offer whatever, I picked up a non-running 70 westy for $600, throw in a motor and its going for under $1000, do you want to fix it up or drive it? If its running try offering $900 and see what he says....
