Kinda off topic but I had a guy pick up a bus rim .He asked me what I wanted for it . So for a laugh I said a six pack of lucky   . After cracking the first one what came to my mind was heineken   . They taste the same [_[  . I have had a few heineken in my time (actually it's one of my favorites)  :) . I don't know If I could tell the difference in a taste test :o .

good 'ole lucky lager.  B)

being from the island, denman island to be exact, which is close to cumberland (the proposed lucky lager capital of canada - it has the highest consumption rate per capita) i was bottle fed that beer from a very young age.

maybe thats why i dont drink anymore.  ;)

   Cumberland........they've even got a plaque on the wall of the jar store awarding them for selling the most lucky!!
Just for the hell of it, did a taste test last night and to be fair alternated the two half sacks..........no comparison but at 2am the beer started tasting a lot like the tequila that followed, funny how that works. Not such a good idea seeing as now i'm at work pulling anouther 12 hr OT shift

a couple of years ago i decided to get a good old friend of mine a case of lucky for his birthday. we both grew up on the isle and even tho we had moved on to bigger and better (o'keefes extra old stock  ), i figured a case of lucky would be a good way to bring back the memories.

well, after driving to three different liquor stores in downtown vancouver and 2 in kitsilano that didnt stock the stuff, i went to my old hood in east van and hit up the liquor store at kingsgate mall. they had it allright. along with pilsner, wildcat, tnt, black label, o'keefes, and even lucky extra in the hard black can.

i decided to get 2 cases of lucky that night, one for my buddy and one for me, and we had a good chuckle about.....hmmm....i cant remember.

Sorry about this Rusty, but you need to get a better taste for beer! Lucky, down south of the line, in 1993 was my last choice and most of my friends as well. Have you ever tried a good Stout or Guinus or something more affordable like Fosters? Now that's good! B) Quit drinking in 93 so I'm not on top of all the latest. One of my last memories of drinking ........ My wife asked if I could stop with one beer in an evening. I replied SURE and came home with a quart can of Fosters

Now Beer one of my favourite subjects, When I was in B.C. back in April I tried your Nats pale ale, quite good, what you need is some good olde English traditional Beer, if you ever visit England try some Bishops Finger, Tanglefoot or 6x they are traditional ales brewed with only certain ingriedients and brewed a certain way.

No offence taken . I'm one of those people that when I go buy beer 50% of the the time I buy something I have not tried . Guinus is a very good beer I also like McCewans (I dodn't think I spelt that right) . It's just that lucky is a very hoppy flavored beer which I do have a fondness for . Heineken is a way better quality but a very hoppy beer as well. BTW anybody who likes stout should head out to mission springs for a glass of oatmeal stout. There is no such thing as bad beer some are just better than others

i dont know if fosters is a step up or not. and i'm pretty sure lucky is cheaper.  ;)

some stouts are good. boddingtons or killkenny's are tasty.

steamworks brewpub in gastown makes a wicked nutbrown ale. and a wicked cream ale. and a wicked oatmeal stout. after working at that place for 5 years i can say that i had my fare share. B)

hmmm. black & tan's.
