Any Bellingham (blaine) Members?
« on: August 08, 2005, 10:20:41 AM »
Just wondering if there's anyone in Bellingham (or Blaine) that I could stop in and leave a car for a few days that I'm moving up here to Canada. I just have to get the paperwork in order to cross through customs and they're only open monday to friday til 4pm and I can't get the papers done in time. Long story short.... I'd appreciate a safe driveway or corner for a few days (promise a few days) thanks

My office is right at the border crossing in Blaine. You could leave it in the parking lot here, nobody will mess with it.

Thanks Shane,
It's not going to happen, the Seller wanted it out tomorrow and I just can't get there to move it even just to BLaine. Thanks for the offer though... see you in Coquitlam in a couple of weeks!

Just for future info... You can bring a vehicle through Sumas 24/7. I brought my bus through at around 11pm on a Sunday night.

thanks for the info...
Through a buddy who brings Chevy's across the border all the time, he said I had to fax the signed off U.S. title and a bill of sale made out to you and fax it to: US Customs Service: Outbound Team...  Pacific Crossing-Blaine.
Then when you approach the Pacific Crossing, you need stop at US Customs and declare the car you are exporting from the US. They will only clear the car Monday through Friday 8-4 p.m. (business hours) Then you have to stop at Canada Customs and declare the car. They will process your paperwork and charge you the Gouge and Screw Tax.
I never thought about the good ol' Sumas crossing... do you still need to forward the paperwork in advance and get it set up before you arrive at the crossing?
Always learning!
thanks
