For All The Pansies....
« on: July 11, 2005, 06:56:06 AM »
August 13/14 the BC SuperShifters are running a double header at Mission. I WILL BE RUNNING ON THE SATURDAY and maybe the Sunday...

I am double dog daring any and all to show up or shutup!!! I earned the nickname of \"Mr. SuperShifter\" last year after attending the September double header - I didn't see any of your candy-asses at any of the series last year!!!

So forget the excuses it's time to put your car in with the big boys and race some real race cars! Goto www.bcsupershifter.com for details.

Alright lets hear the excuses - who's first....

first time this year I did a 12.2, 12.1, 12.00 and another 12.00 back to back.  Although my ET's are adequate and sorta consistant my Reaction times still suck ass. I'll save my car for the DVKK drag day on the 19th.

lame excuse...i know

Interesting to think there is shame in going out round one as of course 50% of the racers do every race! That's just how it is, gives you a good reason to concentrate harder the next time. That's the beauty of the double header cause when you lose on Saturday you get a whole new chance on Sunday. Wayne

NO way Alan I would save my car for that aswell... Everyone wants to do different things at the track.. Mine is to go faster not try and achieve the same times.. I am sure it is fun, we just all have different likes

Kick some ass James. Super shifters looks like a awsome series. If you can go a round or two at that race you will kill at a vw event.

In bracket racing, consistency wins races, not overall speed.  When an automatic transmission car pairs up against a clutch car, the automatic car has a distinct advantage in that it shift exactly the same every run.  The clutch car relies on driver skill.
A fairly large group of racers created a class called the super shifters.  No automatics are allowed in it, so winning is more driver skill.
A double header is a term taken from baseball.  When a baseball game gets rained out, they will sometimes play 2 games back to back the next day; a double header.  In this context, two separate races are held on one weekend.

Since the Oval isn't ready I guess I better bring out my bus and beat James :D

I should have the Oval ready for the DVKK drag day but no sooner as the bus still needs a lot of interior work.
