The Stress Of Being In The Body Industry

Man does this bug me every time. I am sure Matt and Ryan and others can attest.
I came home Saturday night from working out in the shop. Layed in bed and instantly started shivering, sweating, etc right till two in the morning. I have been stomach sick, head aches, cold sweats, you name it. Today has been the best day, just tired and a little sweaty.

This is what gets me. Every time I get sick I stress about isocyanite poisoning, cancer, disease, everything short of STDs (can't get those with my love life). It is like you start remembering all the warning labels and MSDS sheets reaming off all these harsh materials that I deal with on a daily basis. Hate this kind of crap. Keep yourselves safe boys and girls....wear your safety gear!!!

Amen Brother........The shit we expose ourselves to everyday is scary. Just today, I finished recharging a trucks A/C with R-134a after changing the condensor from a front end impact. , jump in to test it and the cab fills with what I thought was smoke, turns out the truck never had a charge in it to begin with, and what I thought was smoke was actually the refrigerant filling up the cab from a a burst line.

I don't know how many years I just lost, all cause some fukkin cheap truck driver couldn't admit the truck had no A/C to begin with.

I'd watch whatever it is Mr.supershifter tries to tell ya, he broke his nose helping install a fence. Safety guy my ass.....

....wear your safety gear....
....be mindfull of the work you're doing and be aware of your surroundings at all times. it all helps.

allthough i havent spent alot of time in the industry yet, i have been subjected to it and i will be more so when school is over and it's time to find a full time job.

our instructors give us the reality check every once and awhile. the mental and physical health risks of the job combined with the liability factor is alot to take on. working on expensive peices of machinery that are capable of travelling at high speeds and carry as few as 1 or as many as 8 human beings all the while being in contact with chemicals that are extremely harmfull.

and they say being a doctor is difficult. pffft.
