it appears that some cars that make it to the track are not exactly fast either..
maybe you should saved that cash you sunk into your paint job and spent it on something like a real motor?

What's your posted time Cale??? Pretty bad that there are faster Type 4 super beetle's out there than what your car can muster..... Some people have fast cars, some people talk fast - I do both, and have posted numbers to prove it.....We'll talk when and IF you ever run your car, and if it makes it a whole 1/4mile....

179 HP was with a broken turbo system.
my car makes allot more than 179HP..this i know for sure. altho 179HP was enough to beat a few cars on a dyno...it aint enough to go racing with..i will take my car out when it is running they way it should be...
and dont worry james..time slips or not..your going down. and you know it.

If i was you...and its #2 that keeps blowing..i would slap a head temp gauge on that spark plug..and invest in a pyrometer..moniter exhaust temps on #2...and cross them with temps off another cylinder that does not blow..

storger cyls will mask the problem..there is no reason one cylinder should blow unless its running hot..or going lean.wich really.. makes a instant HOT spot..but you would figure the pistion would melt out before the cyl would split if it was really the heat that was killing you.and your blow by would make your motor an oil coverd smokey mess

i know that my header on my car causes hot cyls..sharp 90
