of a engine rebuild of a 1641 or any vw engine for that matter.

A really good book/magazine is: \"All ABout Performance VW Engines II\" -  By HotVw's. Airspeed has them in stock and it goes from stock to full blow race engines. Also a Bentley Tech Book is indispensable - Also stocked by Airspeed.
