Hi there guys,
I was wondering if any of you guys know if you can buy this section, or if theres any donor vans that would be interested in parting with it. This sections from a 56 van, and its all crumped in the front.

I just fixed the same thing on my '64 and I had to make the bottom of the post, I couldn't find it anywhere. It's pretty easy to make if you've got snips and a welder.
If you are restoring the whole van yourself I would suggest picking up a metal shrinker (~$300) that will allow you to make that part perfectly as well as the lower section of the wheel arch shown in your pic, and many more areas like the lower inside structure for the side doors. You can buy the whole wheel arch if there is any more rust anywhere on it, that's what I did to mine.

Thanks for the info Splinter. I just cut out the rocker (both outter and inner) today. I was able to get the crumpled peice back to an okay looking shape, and I guess I will have to try and make my own peice of that section with the mother whole in it. Thanks agian

Trevor.. check out Schofields in England, they have all the metal...

The piece you need is #34..

Try to repair the doglegs, as no one makes the early doglegs...55-61, only 62-67.. (shorter height)
