Lincoln Handy Core 100 A Good Choice?

I've been looking for an affordable MIG welder, and I see Canadian Tire has the Lincoln Handy Core 100 on sale for $274.99 starting Saturday. Would you guys recommend it for a novice welder? I'll mostly be using it for light steel.

look for one that supports gas, its an upgrade you will want to do eventually, there a few decent kits you can get that have the gas regulator and face shield for $500

i've heard that flux-core welding is a bitch. i havent had experience with it, but thats what i heard.

get a gas setup and a machine that can take .023\" wire. .035\" seems a little to big for me. also, i dont see any heat settings on that welder? you want to be able to adjust the heat settings when welding thin gauge vw metal.

flux core welding is not bad, patience is required, I myself do it, I cant afford gas cuz I am broke.
