Hey everyone its Jason from the Air Riders club in Edmonton. This year we are planning our 4th Annual Great Canadian Prairie VW Cruz to the Great Canadian show in Vancouver. This year our Cruz is going to be bigger and better then ever. This year the Cruz will include participants from Calgary, Edmonton, Grand Prairie, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg. We are going all out this year.

We are in the process of designing posters, handbills and a webpage for the Cruz. Once we are done I will post the link, but for now we need to know if the show host hotel will be the same a past years, as we want to include this info on our poster/handbills.

Thanks guys, looking forward to seeing you all in August. :D

Cheers

Jay

Yes it will once again be at the Best Western Coquitlam, They are holding 20 rooms for the GCVWS guests.
There is a special rate of $99 a room, when you call in you must say it is for the group rate for the VW show. These rooms are on a first come first serve basis.
If you have any trouble reserving a room you can ask for Tim the Manager.

If all the rooms go quick I may be able to get a few more but the sooner you book the better.

I wasn't smack talkin last year,  I was extreemly tied up with our move, lucky to even attend anything last year. This year is different, very busy, but might have a chance to be down for the Showdown with a turbo singleport in my superbeetle, I'll be ready for the Great Canadian though forsure in the Superbeetle( if it doesn't sell right away) or the chop.

Watch out!!!!! Anybody in the 12 - 13's I'm coming.

My only post in regards to smakin was  last August

"So...you guys ever been beet by a singleport? You'll know what it feels like by this time next year."

Smack talk aside.  Keep us in the loop as to your travel plans guys.  Waldo would love to get involved in a cruz to the show.  Slammedbus is hoping to have his beetle ready as well.  Would be great to hook up with the eastern crowd.  What is your travel route.  I know in the past you have come through Salmon Arm but I see Edmonton, Grand Prairie, and Saskatoon on the list and that tells me Yellowhead?  I have lots of room for parking at my place in Salmon Arm for a stop over if needed.

Is there going to be a poker run this year? Team Volksrods is looking for another win! This year our view won't be obstructed by the little windows in my '57, we'll be open air cruising in Steve's Das Panty Buncher!

If you have posters, drop a couple off at Bow Wow in Surrey and I'll make sure they go up there and the Vancouver store.
