Back at my parents place in Alberta there is shed full of old parts including engine tin to cylinder heads to seats to pistons. There is also an old 1972 Super Beetle and a 1973 Beetle (body and frame already separated) that I could be willing to part with if the right offer came around. They are located about 3/4 hour south of Edmonton. If anybody is interested in going to have a look let me know and I can pass along some information for you.

Any DP longblocks??

no longblocks per say...there are some cylinders (no idea what size), heads and a shortblock thats been under a blanket for years (not too sure of the condition but the shortblock was prepped before it was left). Also my old 1600cc that i've taken a few pieces from here and there...not run-able but has carb, alternator/generator, heads....basically an intact non-running motor missing minor pieces. I haven't gone through the stuff in years...

Any chance you would the sleeve from a generator. My pulley is rubbing on the generator housing. And Cp1 doesn't sell it separate. Thank you. James
