Guage Faces
« on: March 04, 2005, 12:18:07 PM »
I always thought custom guage faces were a scam. So on my coffee breaks at work I started to try and make them in AutoCAD. This is attempt 1, I changed the MPH to KPH and scaled it so it would read correct for 135's, drawing those headlight pictures took some time. Not quite there yet, but its a start. I will continue to play with paper types and cutting and plot a few on black backgrounds. Once a little more polished I'll make them for ASP forum members (with more than 100 posts) free!

I'll keep youposted
Mike

Tom, I get the feeling that speedo of yours is gonna need a calibration in excess of 120kph!

mike, that looks awesome for a first attempt. great idea to configure it to km/h and for 135's. way better than alot of the other \"custom\" gauge faces i've seen. good work.

imo, it would look even better & cleaner with \"km\" instead of \"kph\". more like the way the og km speedos came. just an idea.

keep up the good work.

I was all ready to have this done to my splits clock before I lost my job last year.  I was dealing with North Hollywood speedo.

Conversion from split clock to tach $350
Custom Screen w/ correct split font/color $200
Custom color for red line $150

Expensive but it can be done.
