will a type 4 with all ots stock cooling fit in a bug im pretty sure it will bolt to the tranny but will it fit under the rear apron and decklid? if not what mods would be needed to make it fit

to fit the stock type 4 cooling tin would most likely require cutting the rear apron out
i know of a few cooling systems that would bolt on and allow a t-4 in a bug, you could to a t-4 porsche shroud, or a raby dtm shroud, both big bucks....

`76 912E's have the same 2-liter Type IV the 914's got...'big' valve heads, relocated spark plugs, and FI'd.
It's a bus motor...tin is nearly the same a bus...not going to help you put a bus motor in your bug.
BTW they only made 2099 of them...One is my daily driver
