When exactly did they start putting the IRS into the Type 1's?  If memory serves it was mid 1970?  or was it mid '69er?

In North America, 1968 w. Semi- Automatic. 1969 for standard T1's. The Custom (base) model still had swing right into the mid 70's.

On this 68 shell I got from sick-d-three, the rear shell to chassis mounts (in the wheel well) are higher than on James's car.....would this make it an IRS vehicle?? If so then an automatic one?? How can I tell for sure what I have????
