Trev, I got the mid mount in with the ears welded on. Clearancing on a late car is a breeze compared to all the early junk
There was one problem with the aluminum mount. The tube hits the left frame horn. I had to file the holes a good 4-5 mm. Problem is there's not enough meat to do this, so I had to weld onto it. I blame Lanny for this since I copied his copy of a Berg mount. I noticed his was tilted, but made the foolish assumption that it must fit since he's been using it for several years. So when I made mine, I tilted them too.
