now now....

Mine would be much faster   I still may use the single port this year depending how far my shop gets and the time frame till the Great Canadian, otherwise it will be the turbo'd 3sge fwd clip sitting behind me in the chop.

Kevin,

just take back what you said, and don't waste your time/money/energy on single ports.  what would you prove?  that you can do a decent Quartermile with single ports.  Everyone knows that in an aircooled VW motor the power comes from the heads.

Just my 2 cents.  but do what you want and impress us all

Umm yaa power is in the heads, ... Show me one stock dual intake port that runs faster than a 14 second 1/4 mile....Ya there aren't any, they are all worked over to atleast 35mm port diameter, or welded to 40mm .  My singleport intake diameter is not even close to stock size, and the turbo doesn't care about velocity, so there you can imagine the size it is, it's welded and bigger.

I'm sure you could work over a mild dualport head with stock valves, use a turbo in it and make it run faster than 14's.  but its not that fast.  so then people don't waste their time.

I think its cool how you want to do the single port thing, but its different from the norm, and I just prefer big power :P

Just my opinion I guess.
